On Monday, Oct. 24, at 8:18 p.m., Gloucester Township Police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a man with a gun at the AT&T store. The call then disconnected. Officers secured a perimeter around the store and immediately located the suspect and took him into custody, police said.
An investigation revealed that during an argument, Nathan Jones, 20, of Philadelphia displayed a handgun and stole the employee’s cell phone as he was attempting to call 9-1-1.
A search of the area, where Jones was located was conducted and officers recovered a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine and hollow point bullets, police said.
Jones was charged with armed robbery, terroristic threats and multiple weapons offenses, police said.
He was being held in Camden County Correctional Facility.
